Mike Guswiler is the West Michigan Sports Commission's first and only executive director.

As many who are interested in the hospitality industry do after college, Mike Guswiler began his career at a hotel and enjoyed the work and social contact the job provided him. He was employed at a Hyatt Regency in South Carolina, went through the management program at Red Roof Inns, and spent time at a Sheraton Hotel in Chicago.
